Mindfulness

March 27, 2012

Mindfulness is a way being present in the here and now. So often people rush through their day missing out  what is right in front of them.  Hurry is fear, and consequently destructive. Have you ever been in a rush? Your not in the present when you are in a hurry and so many times that is when accidents happen, or miss out on the magic that is right in front of us. Mindfulness is being centered, open to possibilities and relaxed. Your state of mind is organized and focused. Practicing mindfulness creates harmony within your body, mind and spirit which will radiate outward to contribute to a more peaceful world.
Here is an experiment that was conducted in Washington DC;

A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning.  He played six Bach pieces for 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.
Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing.  He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his schedule.
A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping continued to walk.
A few minutes later someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work.
The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy.  His mother tagged him along, hurried but the kid stopped to look at the violinist.  Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on.
In the 45 minutes the musicians played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while.  About 20 gave money but continued to walk their normal pace. He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.
No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.
Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in Boston and the seats average $100.
Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception., taste and priorities of people. The outlines were; in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected context?
One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be:
If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?
Are you caught in rush hour?  Stop,  take a deep breath and practice mindfulness, it just might be the most powerful gift you can give to yourself.

Natural Order

March 21, 2012

The first law of the universe is order. Not world order but natural order. It has been passed down through stories, icons, buildings, and even alphabets in places all around the world, from Central America, to Egypt, to China. And now, at this critical crossroads in human evolution, it is being de-coded. The code may be our most powerful key to thriving. It is a pattern in nature that exists everywhere from atoms to galaxies. It’s called a “torus.”  You can see it in a seed, a fruit, a hurricane, even the electromagnetic field around a person or the earth.  It’s how life sustains and evolves itself, and it serves as a universal template for sustainability in all our systems.
Among other things, the code shows us how to access clean, abundant energy, expand our consciousness, restore health and balance to the planet and live sustainably.
Unfortunately, there is another world order which is not natural, taking place in the world which is in complete opposition to this pattern. It wants to control us and keep us down.
It is up to us to wake up to our own code within us. To know that we are more than just flesh and bones but a genius awaiting to be born. We have the power, we have the code, we have the secret to make a difference!
The world is at a cross roads, which path will you take?
Make a difference and tap into the code of natural order!

Create a Plan for Your Life

March 13, 2012

ImageIf you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Create a plan for your life. People make all kinds of excuses for not making plans for themselves. They are busy living in the day to day grind of life. We spend more time planning for a party than we do for what we want out of life. We rationalize or (rationing lies) why there is no point to spending time creating a plan for our life. “Life is what happens to you while your busy making plans.” Here is another quote “It is not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?”
Do you know a rocket ship going up to the moon is off course 99% of the time?  It is correcting itself constantly, and winds up exactly on target.
If you took that same ship and gave it no destination, and no guiding point, it will wind up lost in space.
Create a plan, now. If not now when? The power is in the present moment. So make a plan to plan for success!

Unbelievable

March 6, 2012

It is unbelievable! When we see something or someone do something that seems impossible, we often use the expression, unbelievable! In other words we can’t believe our eyes. I still am amazed at the marvels and wonder of the achievements people have made.
I live close to Kennedy airport and the planes have a direct landing path over the ocean here. They are spaced approximately 5 minutes a part for there landing. It’s unbelievable to see these magnificent mechanical birds carrying 100’s of people fly through the air.
To think that just about 100 years ago, this seemed impossible.
How about Roger Bannister who broke the record for running the mile in under 4 minutes. People said it could not be done. No one ever did it before. They said the human body was not designed to run that fast, and yet he made what was unbelievable, believable. After that, it has become an ordinary event.
What do you seem to think is impossible for your life? Any thing is possible if you believe!
There is nothing new under the sun. You are a creator, so start creating!

Make it an unbelievable day!!!
