Consciousness-300x225Consciousness refers to your individual awareness of your unique thoughts, memories, feelings, sensations and environment. Your conscious experiences are constantly shifting and changing. For example, in one moment you may be focused on reading this article. Your consciousness may then shift to the memory of a conversation you had earlier with a co-worker. Next, you might notice how uncomfortable your chair is or maybe you are mentally planning dinner. This ever-shifting stream of thoughts can change dramatically from one moment to the next, but your experience of it seems smooth and effortless.

There are different levels of consciousness depending on your level of awareness. There are seven levels of awareness that will bring your consciousness to a heighten state of being.

More than any other time in the history of man is it vital to awaken to higher states of consciousness and be aware of our connection to our earth and each other. If we want to save our world, we must become conscious of our natural world and protect it. We can all make a difference. So lets start by opening our eyes to this magnificent planet and acknowledging her.

Creative Ideas

May 20, 2014

Creative-Ideas-for-old-drawersCreative ideas are born in our imagination. When was the last time you thought of something creative? The more ideas you have the more creative ideas will pop into your mind. Not only is it fun, it is inspiring and energizing. Have you ever seen something that someone else has done and you thought to yourself that you had that idea too, but just never followed through with your idea? I recently was watching a program on how to purify contaminated water for areas in the world that did not have access to clean water. It was remarkable to see the ingenuity of what people are developing. There is nothing new under the sun, however we must begin to tap into our creative minds and give birth to creative ideas to solve the massive problems that are plaguing the earth today. Use your imagination and think of five new ideas every day. Some might be good, and  others not so good,  it doesn’t matter. What matters is that we begin to create new ideas. The next creative idea to help the world could be yours!

Organized Chaos

May 13, 2014

organized chaosI am living in organized chaos. I recently moved into a new home that is still being renovated. Actually it isn’t a new home, it is a hundred and one year old home. Lots of work needed to be done to get it up to date. We basically gutted the home to redo the electrical, plumbing, heating and other such infrastructure work.It was organized chaos. Now, I am living out of boxes until I can get more organized. Every day progress is being made to bring the house to completion. Chaos, always precedes order. Look at nature, it might look chaotic if you walk through a forest. However, if you look closely it is in perfect divine order.Sometimes it seems like our life becomes unmanageable but if you center yourself and stay calm, order will come. A knitted sweater is a chaotic mess on one side and the other side  is in a beautiful pattern. So get messy! As long as you stay focused on what it is your desire, chaos will be there along side the organization. It is always a journey from chaos to organization. Onward and upward!!

Disappointments

May 6, 2014

disappointmentHave you ever felt disappointed? Maybe you were expecting something to be different from how it actually showed up for you? I know that in my life, I have learned that disappointment is only something that was not meant to be. I have turned disappointment into knowing that something better is waiting for me.

Last week, I had a free ticket to a conference I really wanted to attend. However, there were hundreds of other people who also wanted to attend this conference. There was no guarantee that I would get a seat. After waiting for 1/2 an hour on a mile long line, I decided to head home. I could have felt disappointed but I knew that other things were pressing that needed my attention. So I was grateful for the ability to choose a different attitude. So next time, when the feeling of disappointment gushes into your being, take a deep breath in the knowing that you are being prepared for something better.  There is an appointment that is waiting for you when you let go of the disappointment!
