Trials and Tribulations

July 29, 2014

trials and trbulations“In order, for faith to grow, adversity must be faced. Through trials and tribulations, strength is found.” Faith Tiley Johnson”

Recently, I have been faced with a trial. One that required making a decision that wasn’t easy to make. It caused someone to be very disappointed, however I knew that it was for my highest good. It was a trial for me. I have been faced with many trials and tribulations in my life, and they have shaped me into the person I am today. A strong, confident, and faithful woman. How about you? Is your life smooth sailing or are you faced with trials and tribulations? In order to grow and become strong you must withstand the storms of life. So turn your mess into a message, a test into a testimony, a trial into a triumph and a victim into a victory!

Let There Be Peace

July 22, 2014

peace“We are not going to deal with the violence in our communities, our homes and our nations, until we learn to deal with the basic ethic of how we resolve our disputes and to place an emphasis on peace in the way we relate to one another.” Marian Wright Edelman

Peace begins within our own mind, body and spirit. We are really all one, and, all connected. We live on one planet, our earth. Although it may appear that the world is out of balance, and in turmoil, there is an incredible influx of light and love being illuminated within us. All you need to do is open your heart to receive it. Now is the time to understand that we can resolve our differences, and unite again as one. Let us all pray for Peace!

Love is All You Need

July 15, 2014

loveI recently watched the classic movie Camelot on TV. I recommend everyone watch this beautiful story. It is full of meaning, love, and adventure. One scene in particular stood out to me. When King Arthur went in to the woods to confide with his childhood mentor Merlin, for advice. King Arthur, was in a situation to prepare for a great battle against his friend Sir Lancelot. It was a battle he didn’t want to fight. Merlin, advised him to think. To think and reflect back in time, and the answer will reveal itself. He also advised him to take a day off of thinking and just love. Merlin said, that is why, God created seven days in the week. To take one day off of thinking, and just love. Love everything, and everyone. Good advice. Sometimes we need to rest our minds from the strain of thinking, and just love. Love is the answer. In today’s world where there are many battles going on and so much violence, we need to take a day off, and love.  Let us all open our hearts and love each other, ourselves, the earth, and everything in our world. Love truly will heal all!

Everything is Consciousness

July 8, 2014

EVERYTHING IS CONSCIOUSNESSSome degree of consciousness exits in everything, because everything is some form of Spirit, and Spirit is Intelligence. However, there are degrees of intelligence, or consciousness. I’ve heard it said that “Consciousness sleeps in mineral life, dreams in plant life, awakens in animal life, and comes to self-consciousness in man.” Man, then stands at the peak of the evolutionary climb. He is now a self-conscious individual which means that he not only knows but knows that he knows. He can think about his own consciousness, and he now has the power of choice-the very summit of his upward striving. Evolution, through infinite ages, has done much for mankind.

Now, however, if he is to continue to progress, he must take things in his own hands and choose to continue to climb. From now on, he ascends because he himself has chosen, individually, to do so. In order to bring this to pass he must get it clearly in mind that there is no separation between him and God. Remember, all is Spirit.

Destiny Calls

July 1, 2014

characterI recently came across an article, and in it was a quote from George Washington Carver. This is the man who is known for inventing peanut butter. This was a man of character. His quote was “When you love something enough, it will speak to you.” He loved botany. He devoted his life to it and the plant world spoke to him. The character of this man become his destiny. George Washington Carver, actually turned down a position where he was offered $100.000 a year. That would be equivalent to over a $1,000.000 today. His character was so great, that he refused to accept money for the gifts he said God gave him. He invented crop rotation and many other helpful techniques that have saved time and helped the world. We should all take a lesson from this great man of character. Love nature and allow it to speak to us.
