Life is a Puzzle

April 28, 2015

Life is a puzzle. It seems that we need to find the right pieces to live the life that feels right for us. You can’t force the wrong piece in place of the one that’s supposed to fit there. I know sometimes in my life I have tried to do this with results that did not work. You need to get a vision of what you want your life to look like first. Try turning all the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle over to the non picture side and put it together. It will probably take you a life time or never to put it together. When you have all the picture piece face up, you can begin by putting the edges together, then the middle starts to come together. The same concept holds true for your life. When you have a picture set in your mind, the pieces can begin to fit into place. So before you begin working on your life’s puzzle, create a picture of what you want it to look like and then start to fill in the pieces. remember a picture says a thousand words.Life is a Puzzle

Pen to Paper

April 21, 2015

There is something magical that happens every time you take a pen to paper. A connection is made between your mind and body that can not take place the same way as when you are typing on a keyboard. You see, every letter on the keyboard is pressed the same, where as when you write long hand, every letter is unique. Pen to paper, connects you to the viseral experience. I knew this, however I never did write my blogs like this until now. I was listening to a sermon by a pastor from the Riverside Church in Manhattan this past Sunday when he spoke of this experience that happens when we take pen to paper. We get to explore a deeper level of meaning within ourselves when we write this way. We unite our whole being into the relationship with ourself, our spirit, and God. Some how it’s just not the same when we just type it out. So I’ve decided to write my blogs and stories long hand first, then type them out. Writing this now, I see how my thoughts flow so much smoother. Writing seems to move my hand effortlessly. So, I suggest for you to take pen to paper and explore the deep recesses of your mind and release what ever is stored there. There is a magical sensation of freedom that happens when you do. Start writing, pick up a pen, and begin discovering the most important person in your world, YOU!

Prayer Works

April 8, 2015

Life is a prayer. I love this statement; When life is rough pray, when life is great, pray. I have come into the habit of praying every day. Actually, I practice prayer without ceasing. Which means, I am conscious of my thoughts, which are my prayers. Every morning, I wake up and ask God how may I be of service to my highest good. Every evening, I do the same. I feel and have come to know that prayer is not just in times of trouble, but also when times are good.  It is raising our consciousness with a deep feeling of gratitude that will connect us to God, and this is where are prayers are answered. Pray every day, even when times are good. Pray is a state of mind.
