Why I Love Getting Dirty… In the Garden of the Mind

Are you sick and tired way to often? Does life seem to be drag and you just don’t have the energy to do anything about it? Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed or angry? Well it all starts with the thoughts you are thinking, and just like a beautiful garden that gets over taken by weeds if we don’t maintain it, the same thing happens with our minds. Our mind will get over taken by negative thoughts.

I was just in the garden, and my hands got dirty. I love getting my hands dirty in life, and in the garden of the mind.

When The Weeds Become The Garden

I was pulling out those pesky weeds, you know, the ones that overtake the garden? The same thing happens when we remain unaware of our thoughts. We all get those thoughts that we don’t like. They keep coming at us, and like those pesky weeds, we need to pull them out, becoming aware of them. Otherwise, they take over the garden.

A Daily Practice

Every day, those pesky, weedy thoughts come back, so we need to take the time to remove them and seed new ideas. We take care of our cars, homes, and health, but we often neglect the most important thing: our minds. Just as we brush our teeth every day, we need to get our hands dirty, weeding the garden of our minds every day. The little things we do make a big difference in the long run.

Let’s Not Become Our Issues

We become what we think about, we really do, and it’s so important to maintain our life in a spiritual way. I don’t know about you, but most people I meet are so busy with family, friends, and all the issues that arise. For example, one of my friends recently passed away. Another friend was just diagnosed with periodontal disease. I take care of my mom, who is in her eighties, by going to appointments with her and helping her to maintain her lifestyle. My daughter just moved back in with me, bringing her issues along for the ride. We all have so much on our plates today, and how do we find that peace of mind within us, that calm amid the storm?

Take A Moment: Fostering Conscious Thought

My wish for you today is: be conscious of your thoughts. Take time to sit quietly, read a spiritual book, write, journal, meditate, or do something that you feel might help to bring about peace in your life right now. Take a deep breath and relax, right now. Calmness of mind is the most rewarding, fulfilling part of our lives that will take us forward, in peace and good health.

Weeding Together

When I help my clients set and achieve goals, we do a lot of weeding and planting, and we do it together. Remember: no one has to do all their weeding alone.

Do You Do What You Know?

In life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Most people know what foods are healthy and what foods aren’t good for them. So why do people eat foods that they know are not good for them? Most people know that smoking isn’t good for them. So why do people smoke? Most people know that exercise is a healthy regime to maintain their bodies health. So why don’t people do it? This list could go on and on, but you get the point. Do you do, what you know?People know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. If you are not in alignment with your body, mind, and spirit, you will be guided by your emotions, which will always steer you down the path of least resistance. You must be consciously aware of your choices, and disciple yourself to choose what you already know is best for you. So, you can do what most people know, and don’t do, or you can do what you know, and be healthy, and empowered. The choice is yours.  You Know What to Do


Get Into the Vibes!

We live in a 3 dimensional world, although we have discovered that there are at least 10 dimensions existing. String theory explains how the unseen vibration of the universe effects matter. So get into the vibe! How does this effect your life and does it really matter? Well if it effects matter, I believe it does matter. Since we know that matter is vibrating energy, you can consciously shift the frequency of energy through understanding this time, space continuum we live in and bring it back to your 3rd dimensional reality. Get into the vibe!All is one, and one is all. I am not a scientist, physicist, or mathematician, however I know that I am a spiritual being having a human experience. I know that my energy has a major influence on my health, wealth, and relationships. I know that thoughts are energy and the thoughts I am thinking effect my feelings and my feelings will reflect in the results I am attracting. So, if you want your life to improve, become conscious of  the thoughts you are thinking, the energy field you are in, which will shift your vibration, and you can travel through a work hole to the 10 dimension and back. Deep Emotions

I just got home from watching the movie, Inside, Out.If you haven’t seen it, you must. It was awesome! If you want to understand how your emotions control your life, this explains it in a very fun and simple way. It is jam packed with how we deal with the events in our life. There’s the emotions of happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and disgust. The movie dwells into the mind of a young girl who’s parents decide to move from their small town to a city. She was so happy in her small town with lots of great memories. But, now she is in a new home,school, and environment that stirs up all kinds of emotions. To find her way back to happiness, she must get in touch with her sadness first. The movie also touches on core memories, imagination, the subconscious mind, abstract thought, and dreaming. As an empowerment coach, I found this movie a refreshing beginning course for anyone interested in wanted to understand themselves more, and understanding oneself is one of the most important reasons we are here for. So,do yourself a great service, have some fun, and learn how your emotions shape your life!emotions


People Who Inspire

I just love being around people who inspire me. People who are upbeat, positive, and responsible. People who have been through adversity, however choose to overcome their challenges. Last night, I attended my toastmasters meeting and the members are people who inspire. One woman, gave her icebreaker speech that was so touching, personal, and inspirational, that you felt like you were right there, in her story. Wow. it was so good. That’s how we connect through the heart with compassion.

Another gentleman, gave an advance speech about, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He gave us all hand-outs on “20 Things Boys Can Do to Become Men”, by Kareem Abdul Jabbar.  I learned so much about this great sports figure and man that it inspired me to want to be a better person. That’s what people who inspire, do.  So, who are you associating with? Do you feel good around them or are they draining you of your vital life giving energy. See, you become who you associate with. I want to be a better person. When I am around people who are uplifting, positive, and responsible, I’m uplifted. Being around people who are being reactive, and playing the victim, is not healthy. The great thing is you can choose who you want to be around. I choose to inspire others so I hang with those same people. Choose wisely!
