Once Upon a time, people relied on old knowledge of living off the land rather than shops, for their source of food, clothing and other such necessities. Our modern world has evolved out of this ancient one. Unfortunately the course we took as a whole, has separated nature out of the equation. Most people have forgotten the old ways. Knowledge is the key to success, and nature is the key to knowledge. When you study nature, all the mysteries of life reveal themselves. All the answers are hidden in the very thing that we over look. Even a single blade of grass has knowledge in it. The natural laws of the universe have been given to us to explore, and live in harmony with. This is our play ground. So why would we want to decimate our world? I believe that the only reason is, that we forgot about the old knowledge. This is the same reason why there is so much addiction, distraction, depression, and disease. Because we separated from the truth of who we are. We are creators, here to create our best life. To manifest our deep desires, we must connect with nature and the old knowledge.When we become whole in body, mind and spirit, we will remember who we really are. So let’s go back and read the story. Once upon a time when we were all connected.
Far too many people put off joy for when the circumstances are just right. I hear people say things like, when I’m in the right relationship, then I’ll be happy. Or when I have the right job, or the money, car, education or whatever, then I will allow myself to feel good. All those things are wonderful, however if we don’t feel joy and happiness now, all those other things will just fill our joy cup temporarily and we will be seeking the next thing to fill the void that is missing from our life. Find the joy in the moment. That is where the magic is. Being happy for no reason other than appreciating life is true happiness. Far too many people worry themselves to death. Worry, only creates anxiety and dis-ease. It never solved any problem and it never will.
There is a story by the Nanticoke Indian Tribe entitled;
The Tale of the two Wolves
One evening, an elderly Cherokee brave told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside of people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
“Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one that you feed.”
We all have a choice. What are you focusing on? Your energy goes, where your attention flows. Feed the joy!
What are your core values in life? As a life coach, I empower people to understand how important it is to live by their values. When you are absolutely clear on what you value, it is easy to make decisions based on your beliefs. How do you know what you value most? Well,look at the actions you take on a daily basis. What does your life look like? Your real core values will be expressed in what you do, under stress. That’s when the real you, appears. My core values are, integrity, spirituality,family, health and then career, in that order. If someone else has the same core values, however they put career first, health, family, spiritual life, and integrity, their life will look totally different. It is so important to really grasp this knowledge. If your life is a mess, go look at your values, and in what order you place them. It will explain why it isn’t working for you. So, if you want a life that is empowered, happy, and fulfilling, examine your core values, and put them in order. By rearranging and living by your highest core value first, will make all the difference. For me, it is “Do the right thing.” Integrity is a must in my life, I hope it is for you too!
There are millions of people every day, who play the lottery, hoping to win the big prize. The bigger the numbers get, the more people want to win. You got to be in it to win it!According to lottery officials the odds of winning a big windfall of about $540 million are 1 in $176 million. These are not very good odds. However, people still play, believing that they can beat the odds. Hey, someones got to win. There is also some pretty grim stories of peoples lives taking a turn for the worst when they did win. Five years after winning a large sum of money, most people filled for bankruptcy. Not only did they file for bankruptcy, many turned to gambling and drug addiction, went through divorce, committed suicide and murder. You sure do have to be in it to win it!
How about investing in yourself, instead? Set yourself some worthy goals. All you need is a pen, a sheet of paper and some time every day to write and think about what you really want. Then see yourself already in possession of those goals. You see, it’s not the goals themselves that will bring you success, it’s who you are becoming as you work towards them. They are lasting.
So, go ahead, wait on that long line and invest in a lottery ticket. If you want fleeting wealth, then believe in the slogan, you got to be in it to win it. Or, put your money in yourself for lasting wealth, and write a goal, that’s good for your soul.
Do you ever feel like giving up? Does it feel like things are just too hard and your not getting the results you want? You might have had set backs, everyone does. I know I have had my fair share of them. However, you must stick with it, if you want to actualize your vision. Keep trying another approach until you succeed. If there is something you truly desire, keep going until it forms into a habit that you just have to do. I know so many people who say they want to shed pounds and get healthy, or start a business, write a book, or be in a loving relationship. They are all motivated at first and begin taking some sort of action toward it, but their motivation soon sizzles. They loose interest and then become discouraged. Stick with it! Never give up! It might appear like your not getting anywhere, however if you are putting your attention, intention, releasing all tension, and taking action toward your desire, then there is movement toward the desired outcome. Never give and stick with it.
keep doing the things that
When people ask me how am I? I never like to say I’m so busy. I’d rather say I have many projects that I am involved in. To me, busy can mean spinning my wheels without getting anywhere. The language I use internally and externally can affect your productivity. Yes, so many of us have so many things on our plate that it can seem overwhelming, but I never found multi-tasking the solution. How about focusing on one project at a time? We live in a world of addiction and distraction. It’s the shiny object syndrome. We can get lead astray very easily, if we do not stay focused on the task at hand. Concentration, is a skill that needs to be cultivated and practiced. If your an archaeologist searching for bones, or an astronomer looking for stars, it tasks long hours of persistence, focus, and skill, to keep your mind sharp and productive. A busy mind will never do. A busy mind, also is sending out vibrations of chaos rather than calmness, and that is exactly what will be reflected back to you. So stay calm, centered and productive in this busy world.
