Ego, we all have one. Our egos are the attachment to our self-image. When we are aware of our ego, we will have a healthy balance of self-esteem and self worth. If we believe we are superior to others we will act in ways that will express this identity through gaining power and authority over others. If we believe we are inferior or unworthy we will have an ego that shows us that this is true too.
Either way, these are false images. Being aware of our ego and not attaching to the self-image of who we think we are is how we can go beyond self limiting beliefs about ourselves.
I know that when I was a teenager, I never felt confident in myself. I felt I wasn’t good enough. It was a trying time for me. My father got sick when I was 15 years old and then passed away 2 years later. During these years it was very difficult for me to see past my ego that identified with not being loved and feelings of unworthiness.
It was a heavy burden to carry. After seeking help and counseling, I became aware that this wasn’t the truth. I was able to see beyond my ego and transform these limiting beliefs that keep me a prisoner of my own thinking.
When you feel your ego trying to edge in and get the better of you, stop and talk to yourself. Take a deep breath and become aware of what is going on. Maybe you need to speak up or maybe you need to meditate on something to gain clarity. Turn off the noise outside of you and inside of you. Listen to the quite voice within. The ego is loud and boastful, your authentic spirit is gentle, loving and kind.
Need more help? Reach out and listen to your inner voice that is always guiding you.

What does it take to navigate these times of uncertainty? Being curious. Children always ask questions? Being curious is the insatiable desire to know more.
In a world that is full of constant change, just keeping up with the change can be a full time job.
Rapid technological advances requires us to incorporate new ways of thinking and doing. Everything is becoming more and more automated. Kiosk’s in airports to self checkouts at supermarkets, and self driving cars and artificial intelligence are right around the corner.
Corporations are still downsizing and fast food chains are still supersizing. It seems like everything has gone upside down.
With all these changes, people are experiencing anxiety, fear losing their jobs, and fear of becoming irrelevant.
Looking beyond potential threats and toward potential opportunities are where the answers lie.
Being curious is one of the key elements that will keep your mind focused on possibilities rather than the threats.
Curiosity is the inquiring mind. It is asking how things can be done differently. It is staying open to new ideas and learning new things. It is a childlike innocence that wants to discover, explore, play and feel forever young..
Are you yearning for this experience? Let’s explore together. I have lots of questions for you that will spark your creative juices!

“Life should be a glorious adventure or nothing at all.” Helen Keller
Recently I found myself getting lost upstate will hiking alone in the woods. I lost my sense of direction and wasn’t sure were I was and how I was going to find my way back out. I didn’t have my handy dandy cell phone with the navigation to help me. I was lost! After gaining my composure I sat down to try to orient myself. So many questions about my life came up for me. After about three hours, other hikers came walking by. They lead the way out.
After I got back to my camp site, I thought about how I found myself by getting lost. I realized that not knowing can be a great way to discover hidden emotions, strengths and fears that would have never come up if I didn’t get lost. After calming my mind, I realized so many things about who I am and how I respond to circumstances that I never would have known about myself if I didn’t get lost.
My younger daughter, just traveled alone cross country in your tiny home and had the most glorious adventure. Some of the pictures from the places she explored where absolutely incredible! Ever day was a new discovery. A journey into the unknown. You can follow her adventures on Instagram (ramblinanne).
So what is something you can do to discover a new path? How can you get lost to find yourself? Step outside of your comfort zone to discover yourself. Get lost! It will be the best thing you did for yourself in a long time.
Need some help in discovering yourself or stepping out of your comfort zone? Let’s talk.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience. We came from some place and are going to return somewhere. Amazingly, our DNA is a shaped like a spiral stairway reaching for the heavens. The more we can stay connected to that spiritual part of ourselves the more understanding, awareness, and consciousness will flow to and through us guiding our lives. One of the ways to keep the channel open is through the intellectual faculty of intuition. I’ve heard it said that if prayer is when we talk to God, intuition is when God talks to us. It’s that quiet whisper echoing in the core of our soul, always letting us know what is best for our well being.
Most people have either not been taught how to properly use this facility or have ignored their feelings when intuition has been trying to speak to us. It has therefore been laying dormant, just waiting to be turned on, when ever we are ready and willing to listen. The doorway to begin to open up your intuitive abilities, is through imagination. Ask for guidance and envision a soul image, like an angel, or a fairy, even an owl, or (what ever feels good), to assist you.
Then sit in silence and relax the mind. Our mental chatter often gets in the way of a clear connection, just like static on a radio channel. Once the flow of energy is calm and focused, the signal will be clear to receive the guidance from your soul. Begin to pay attention to your feelings; they are your compass, directing you along your journey to a more fulfilling life. Always remember, you are a spiritual being, and that to reclaim your connection, if it has been severed, takes practice, just like a muscle that has not been used becomes atrophied. Soon you will begin to awaken to your true self.
If you need help getting in touch with your intuition, let’s talk!

We all know the story of the Empires new clothes, right? Were he paraded down his village with no clothes on and no one wanted to confront him and tell him that he was stark naked. It took the innocence of a young boy to yell this out, that broke the trance. How do you handle confrontation? For most people this can be very difficult. If there is a problem that needs to be addressed, avoiding it will only make the matter worse. So what is the best way to handle it? Having a clear sense of how to do this will create a win-win situation or a win-loss outcome. Confrontation is not about I’m right and you’re wrong. It is about being direct, clear, honest and sincere. When you align your tone of voice, words and intention to communication what you feel in a healthy way, the message gets received in a non-aggressive manner.
It is important to confront the behavior or an action that is unfavorable. If not, nothing changes and it will get worse. Healthy confrontation takes emotional stability and responsibility. In order for our world to change in a positive direction we need people to speak up and confront the issues that are allowing so much destructive behavior to go on.
So the next time you want to lash out or ignore the situation, find the courage within yourself to be the one who confronts the problem in a healthy way so it can get resolved.
Need help in learning a healthy dialog to communicate, let’s talk!

Let There Be Light! Everything that thrives is fed by light. If you lift up a rock, and there was a seed under it, you will see that it sprouted but it is a colorless and a stunted seedling searching for the light. Within a few hours of warmth and filtered light, you will see that it straightened itself and color began coursing through its veins.
We too need to have the weight of a burden lifted from our shoulders in order to thrive. We need to be in an environment that is encouraging and supportive to restore health and happiness.
With all that is going on the world today, you can be a beacon of light? How can you be of service?

Persistence is the key ingredient in achieving anything you desire from life. It is holding to a course of continued action, belief, and purpose without giving in or giving up. Napoleon Hill wrote in his book Think and Grow Rich, “There may be no heroic connotation to the word persistence, but the quality is to a person’s character what carbon is to steel.” Persistence is a habit that will begin to cultivate, when you realize your life’s purpose, have a strong desire, and strengthen your will. Set goals for yourself and follow through on them.
Nothing worthwhile in life comes without struggles to overcome. There are no cheap goods in the heavenly market, and everything worth having is expensive. Surround yourself with people who will lift you up, and are pursuing their own dreams, have faith and take action every day toward your dream. The opposite of persistence is procrastination, this is truly an enemy. It will keep you stuck, weak and create all kinds of excuses why you can not accomplish something. Face yourself honestly and openly, challenge yourself, to overcome this habit. Believe in yourself and know that you can not fail if you persist, and move in the direction of your dream. For every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.
The philosopher Henry David Thoreau quoted “If you advance confidently in the direction of your dream, and live the life you can image, you will meet with success, unexpected in common hours.” Go live your dream.
