You Fool!

July 5, 2018

A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise man.

Bruce Lee

I think one of the biggest fears we have is looking like a fool or being criticized. We don’t like to look, act or be different. Most people like to fit in and conform.

I remember being back in school, I was afraid to ask a question because I didn’t want to look foolish. But then someone was bold enough to ask the exact question I wanted to ask and everyone was happy that they did because most of the students didn’t understand what the teacher was saying.

Now I have learned to step outside my comfort zone, have confidence in my abilities and know there are no stupid questions.

What is it about taking a risk to look foolish that we are so afraid of?  People made fun of Karl Benz, the creator of the automobile Mercedes Benz back in 1886. He actually had to take out his car at night to test drive it so people wouldn’t laugh and ridicule  him.  Or Gugliemo Marconi, an inventor and electrical engineer who pioneered work on long distance radio transmissions. His friends had him institutionalized thinking he was nuts to think he could send messages through the air. There are many such stories of people who took the risk in doing something, if they believed strongly in it.

What is it that you would like to accomplish but are afraid to do. Take the risk, believe in yourself and you could be the fool laughing all the way to the bank. Go for it.

Take the Jump

May 17, 2016

jumpThis past weekend I was at a two day seminar were we fully engaged in learning, growing and expanding our minds. It was amazing!!! There is always more to know if you jump in the game of life and give it your all. You just never know where you can go if you jump and trust that your parachute will open.  I’ve always been one to go for things and take a risk if I really wanted something, and I did it again this weekend.  How about you? Do you believe in yourself enough to invest in yourself, or are you playing it safe? You must let go of the familiar to allow for new things in your life to come in. It will never happen if you do not jump and experience the free fall of the unknown. It’s like playing in the minor leagues and now stepping up, and playing in the major league. I took a huge leap of faith and trust that I will strike a home run . Life is all about expression and expansion, and I want to always go to a higher level. What is it that is holding you back from jumping into life? If you want more, than you have to give more! Just jump and the world will give you more!!!

Need help with taking a risk? Call Monica today and find your faith and courage to take the jump!!! Invest in yourself!!!
