As the World Turns

April 16, 2020

As I ponder, wonder, contemplate and imagine what the future holds for humanity, my thoughts drift into a simpler way of life. A day and time when people weren’t so rushed. This pandemic has put a screeching halt to our routines, and shaken many to realize that life is so fragile. How could something invisible rattle us into a state of panic and fear and have this much control over the way we live and die?   If what we focus on expands, what are you focused on?  Life as we know it was spinning out of control. It had to crash. Many deep down inside really wanted to get off the worry-go-round but were caught up in the momentum. If we can see what’s good about this, we can begin to shape and mold our future into something wonderful.

What if this virus is giving us a chance to reset, readjust, reevaluate, rejuvenate and re establish a new way to live? People were just going through the motions, faster and faster! Rushing is fear. Taking the rush hour train to work and back, then going to happy hour, just to do the same thing day after day.  Happy hour was really numbing hour from the mundane routine of being trapped in the cog of the way society has brain washed us into believing how we need to behave. Consumerism and commercialism had us squeezed so tight, that it felt like we were in a straight jacket. Well, here is your chance to get free! To release yourself from the prison.

What will you do to imagine a new world? What do you want it to look like? How do you want it to feel? Together we can create a future that is bright, healthy, prosperous, compassionate and full of wonderful possibilities. Dream, play and envision this and collectively we can create it.

Let’s co-create, are you ready?

The New Normal

January 18, 2018

What is the new normal? We hear this term a lot on the news lately. With raging fires out on the West Coast, mud slides, category 5 hurricanes decimating Puerto Rico and other parts of the world and other climate changes, it seems like this new normal is rather bleak. And now we have missile alerts  frightening us into believing we are goners? How are these horrific things impacting how we live?  What is normal anyway?  Do we really just accept this as the new normal?

It seems like everything has become distorted, upside down or backwards. This new normal that we are being confronted with is all about living in a more fear based world. That is not what I would want the new normal to be. Let’s face it, everything changes. Nothing stays the same. Change is the one constant we can count on. However I envision a world that is evolving toward good change, positive change and progress change. We are either constructing or destructing. If we believe that we are helpless and have no power over our thoughts, feelings and action, we will be the victim of these fear based changes. There are many people doing tremendous work toward good things to improve our world. When we stay in faith and have the courage to be the change we want to see in the world we can begin to see the new normal as moving toward peace, compassion, kindness and love.

That diversity can be recognized as a powerful asset rather than a separation to divide. Let’s open our minds and hearts to all. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world.

How do you see yourself being a contributor to the new normal? What can you do to make a positive difference?

If you need some help to find out what your purpose and vision is, lets talk?

The Dawning of a New Day

March 18, 2014

The dawning of a new day is always an opportunity to see things in a new light. How blessed we are to have this miracle happen every morning! On this particular morning, I dropped my car off to get detailed from all the muck the winter had layered on it. As I was walking home, I noticed that the sidewalks were covered with lots of debris and garbage.  It was not a pretty sight. Then I shifted my thinking to how beautiful it will look when it is all cleaned up and wild flowers are growing here. This is what I choose to hold near, dear and right here. If we get a group of volunteers to clean up the area, it can and will look beautiful. Isn’t that how Jesus envisioned how things to be. Not the illusion of what it looks like but what the truth is. The truth is, there is beauty all around us, if we choose to see it, and believe it. The truth is we are pure love. The truth is we are in good health, always. When we focus on the goodness, we will see goodness. The dawning of a new day comes every morning. Hold the truth, near, dear and right here.
