What the world needs now is more kindness, compassion and peace.
Wishing everyone a most joyous, peaceful and loving Holiday.
Prayer of St Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Let’s face it, life can be darn hard at times. It can knock you down, turn you inside out and twist you around. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t achieved greatness without going through some sort of adversity.
The difference between those that succeeded and those that didn’t is the faith and courage to get back up and go at it again. Also, having someone in your corner. someone who sees your goodness and sees something that you can’t or don’t believe in yet. There were times that I wanted to give up on myself but something inside me kept me going. You can call it source energy, God, spirit, consciousness or infinite intelligence, but it’s real and it always available to tap into.
If you’re going through some tough times, you can grow through it. To reach mastery in anything, or to overcome anything ask your heart for guidance and then give it your all. Grow through it! Nothing happens by accident. Learn from adversity and grow. You’ll amaze yourself who you can become!

A good seaman weathers the storms he can not avoid, and avoids the storms he can not weather. Perhaps the key is to identify the difference.
I recently attended a funeral of a man who literally drank himself to death. He was an alcoholic in the depths of his addiction. It truly is a disease. It was a man I did not know well, but was there to support a friend who was involved with him. Some of his siblings spoke about him which revealed a man in his younger years was an extremely gifted and talented sailor, surfer, athlete and dancer. He went to Julliard for ballet! So what happened? When does a life start to take a turn and head into stormy waters? How can you navigate out of it? Why didn’t he get help? What was it that he was avoiding? So many questions, but no answers.
It was as if his life was battling a constant storm that he couldn’t get out of.
You might be going through some storms of your own or have gone through some turbulent times. We all go through tough times in life. With support and guidance you can get through them and even avoid some of them. You always need a good skipper on hand to help you see things you can’t as you are steering your way through life! So, if your going through a storm in your life, ask for help, pray, meditate on it and know anything is possible to get through with faith and courage.

“Problems cannot be solved with the same mind set that created them.”
Dr. Albert Einstein
You have to be hiding under a rock today not to know what’s going on in the news these days. The turmoil, upheavals, resistance, anger, disruptions, disputes and chaos that is happening environmentally, politically and personally is causing us all to be shaken to awaken.
These are the days of miracles and wonders, these are the days were you must shift to a higher level of thought. Together we can rise above the mindset of limitation, lack, fear and all the old beliefs which you were downloaded with. In order to find love, peace, joy, tranquility, compassion, abundance, respect, reverence and all good things, you must take responsibility for your part in this world.
To navigate through uncertainty, you must have faith and courage that everything is for your higher good. You are being shaken awake. You can no longer deny the dysfunction that is causing so much dis-ease in the world. So I am asking each and everyone of you who is reading this to step out of your old paradigm and awaken to your highest potential, to raise your vibration and join me to make a difference in the world. Together we can shift to a higher vibration!

Life is short, and if we enjoy every day, then we will be happy no matter what happens or what changes along the way.
Former Senator John Kerry’s memoir was recently released entitled “Every Day is Extra”. In it he writes about the struggles he had during his life and how he was able to forge ahead with a positive attitude, courage and faith. He faced many setbacks, family illnesses, crisis and tough decisions.
Let’s face it, life can be tough at times. Not every day is going to be a great day. Sometimes you may have days, months or even years of challenging times. Maybe you are being faced with a family member diagnosed with a serious illness, addiction or crisis. Maybe we ourselves are confronting a personal battle. I know what its like. Both my parents were Holocaust survivors and I have a daughter with addiction issues. It ain’t always easy.
However, if you wake up every day and realize that every day is extra, that every moment is another chance to create and do something better than the day before, you will be able to navigate uncertainties with faith and courage.
Look, no one gets out alive. Your time here is limited and you will be confronted with tough days. The storms, droughts, and other unexpected mishaps will come. But with an attitude of gratitude, knowing that every day is extra, you can turn any rainy day into a a day of appreciation and goodness.
What can you do to appreciate every moment?

“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”
― John Lennon
I love this quote! So many times people worry over things we have absolutely no control over. We get so caught up with the negative “what ifs”? What if everything turns out horrible? What if we lose? What if it doesn’t turn out the way I planned? I’m sure you can think of other what ifs. But what if things turn out great? What if you could view life as a glorious adventure?
This reminds me of a folk story that brings things into perspective.
There once was a farmer who lived with his wife and only son in the country. They owned one horse that helped them till the soil and plant their crops.
One day the horse just decided to run away. All the neighbors found out and said, “Oh I’m so sorry for you. Now you are going to have to work so much harder.” The farmer kept his cool and said, “we’ll see.”
After a week the horse came back with a Mare. All the neighbors said, “Oh you are so lucky, now you have two horses to help work your land.” The farmer just said, “we’ll see.”
Now, their only son wanted to tame the new horse, however he got thrown off of her and broke his leg. Again the neighbors said, “Oh you poor thing, your only son that helps with so much can’t help you work.” The farmer just said, “we’ll see.”
A war broke out in the country and all the young men had to go to battle. However the farmers son could not go because of his broken leg. The neighbors said “Oh, how lucky you are, your only son gets spared from having to go to war.” The farmer again said, “we’ll see.”
So you see, the story of life has its good times, it’s bad times. Life has its ups and downs. There are highs and lows as well. How we face those times makes all the difference. Life is like a rollercoaster. You can enjoy the thrill of the ride or feel like you just want to get off.
Joe Biden, the former Vice President has a new released book entitled, “Promise Me Dad”, a year of hope, hardship and purpose.
He exemplifies what it means to have courage and faith. You too can set your own sail and find your purpose by choosing how you respond to life’s circumstances.
Look for ways to be of service. Go the extra mile, and make it a point to lift someone else up by giving a compliment. It goes farther than you can imagine.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting. Joseph Campbell
When a crisis hits you like loss of some kind, an accident or illness, you can either rise above or sink into the abyss. The choice is yours. There have been a few times in my life where I was at the edge of despair. We all go through times that can rattle us to the core of our being. We plan our life, set goals and work hard to accomplish them and boom, something happens that takes you in a completely different direction.
For awhile we feel sorry for ourselves and wonder why this is happening. However if you have a strong inner drive with purpose and passion, you will soon see the silver lining in that seemingly misfortune. ” Every adversity, every failure, every heartbreak, carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.” Napoleon Hill
With guidance, perseverance, and faith you will rise above. Stay true to being YOU!
You must jump into the unknown, for it is there that the answers to your search will reveal themselves.
