“The connection between and among women are the most feared, the most problematic, and the most potentially transforming force on the planet.”
It is common knowledge in most indigenous cultures that the fully realized woman is the unshakable foundation upon which civilization must be built. The grandmothers are the ultimate power brokers in tribal society because they alone know what it means to bring life into the world- the ultimate test of spiritual and physical fortitude.
In modern culture we must find our way back and honor these customs and traditions to survive and thrive in the new world. Women, we are becoming more spirited, more powerful, and more awakened. We are evolving, changing, transforming, and disrupting the models that have suppressed, oppressed, and depressed us from becoming all we can be. Feminine energy can be very much misunderstood. For years, women have been portrayed as being jealous of other women sabotaging one another. These ailing systems are beginning to reveal what we can accomplish when we work and play together.
The traditional face of a woman was conformity. We needed to seek approval, acceptance, and security. “I am who you say I am.” Some women grew up believing this was true. In some cultures, this is the norm. They still live in the shackles of their oppressors. When we educate and give young girls and women a sense of purpose, they then have an opportunity to find their voice and say, “I’m not who you say I am.” We begin to push back, gain some freedom and independence. Creativity emerges, truth, self-esteem and self-expression show its face. However, this is still insecurity. Although we are gaining confidence to find our voice and speak up, there is an energy of resentment and struggle. We can get caught in a vicious cycle of being right, competition to get ahead and burn ourselves out. We want to play in a man’s world being a woman. It does not work. We wind up burning out, trying to do it all. When we truly become empowered women, we access the energy to be who “I say I AM”. This is the Goddess energy. The divine feminine energy. This is when we can lift each other up. Madeline Albright always says, “There is a special place in hell for women who do not help each other.” But the reverse is true and more uplifting: there is a special place in heaven for women who shine the light and share it with others. Image how bright the future could be when we shine the light for each other. It will be heaven on earth!
Have you noticed the changes around you lately? Where are the butterflies? I’ve seen less than a hand full. Where are the beneficial insects, like the praying-Mantis and lady bugs, not to mention the bees? Climate change is happening, although many people still don’t want to acknowledge it. What kind of world will we be living in if we do not make some conscious decisions on how we live our lives?
The divine feminine is a part of our consciousness and earth. She is assisting us to open our hearts and minds and think like the native Indians did. Sustainability, preservation, and compatibility. This will help us adapt to a new world filled with abundance for all. The sacred feminine energy is emerging, assisting us to recognize the integration of all living and sentient beings. The symbol of the Goddess is about balance, healing, and renewal.
So what kind of world do you want to live it? One filled will beauty, love, and compassion, or one of darkness and despair. How will you adapt to a new world?
” The life force of the divine feminine is the spark that will help us ignite a deeper spiritual, technological, and biological transformation. Her sustainability is our survival.”
On the first day of spring here in New York, it was a cold snowy day. It was also a very magical day. There was a solar eclipse, solar flares, a new moon and the spring equinox, and on top of all that it was snowing! The last thing I wanted to do was to leave the warmth of my cozy home and venture out on a train into the city, but that is just what I did. I was invited to a spiritual happy hour by a very lovely young lady who I recently met. It was awesome. Only two other people showed up, however these people were so inspiring and delightful that it changed me forever. Spiritual happy hour was created by this woman who wanted to offer a sacred space to share, explore, and manifest our deep desires. What better time to do this then on the spring equinox, when things are shifting and emerging from the slumber of winter. The energy was ripe for it. The two other woman who were present had such vibrant energy, that it was contagious. One of them just quite her corporate job and in her terms described it as funemployment! How cool is that! She was heading off to Bali for a Goddess retreat and then, going to relocate to California. I asked if she knew anyone there or had a job lined up. She replied, no, you just have to take big risks in life if you want things to be different for yourself. Wow, I was so inspired. You never know who you are going to meet when you allow yourself to be open to possibilities. I changed that evening. A part of me was able to release some past conditioning and feel lighter. I booked a trip to Thailand the following day and allowing the universe to flow freely through me. At any time you too can be changed in a moment. That’s why we are here, to experience life. Helen Keller said, “Life is a glorious adventure, or nothing at all.” Make it a Glorious adventure.
