You’re A Brainiac!

July 19, 2018

We are living in very uncertain times. Things are speeding up so rapidly that if we do not have the knowledge, tools, strategies and techniques to keep up with the pace of these changes we will be left behind groveling in a sea of mediocrity which will never get us to where we truly desire to be. So, the question is, how do we acquire the knowledge and mindset to take us further than we ever thought possible?

This is where coaching comes in. We must begin to do some introspective work to see who you really are. What are your habits, behaviors, beliefs and image about yourself? What is the conversation you are having with yourself? What are the conversation you are having with other people?

It takes .10th of a second for people to determine if they like you and want to engage in doing business with you and .07 seconds to sense they don’t trust you. That’s how fast and important it is for you to really be authentic and know yourself. If you are uncertain in anyway within yourself, people will pick up on this feeling before you even utter hello.

Not only must our intentions be clear, we must be aware of the impact we are having on others. If we only focus on our intention, we can often have a negative impact on others, triggering their fight, flight, freeze or appease impulse which is controlled by the Amygdala in the brain or the lower brain. We immediately will turn people off.

Being aware of your intentions and the impact you want to convey will communicate positive reactions in others, which will lead them to trust and like you. This triggers the Prefontal Cortex, known as the executive or decision making part of the brain.

We actually have seven brains.

1-The Primitive Brain or (reptilian brain- sensors threats)

2-Heart Brain- Our heart is much more than just a pump. (We either sync or not with others)

3-Limbic Brain (Stores memory and history of emotions)

4- Neocortex (Hardwired for language, storing information, basic thinking, reasoning and cognitive skills)

5- Prefrontal Cortex (The youngest part of the brain & often called the executive brain)

6- Gut-Brain – We truly are what we eat. (The gut brain is revolutionizing medicine’s understanding of the links between, mood, health and even the way we think. Scientists call this little brain the ecteric nervous system.)

7-Interstidium- A layer of skin under the epidermis. It communicates and gathers information.

Until we understand how we can link or body, mind and spirit into alignment, we will never truly be successful and live our best life. This knowledge is vital to your success, happiness, and health in these ever -changing times.

Coaching will revolutionize the way you see yourself and propel you to new heights in all areas of your life.
