But I Meant Well.

October 24, 2019

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

English proverb

How many times have you heard someone say, but I meant well. As a parent, you always want the best for your children and family right? If you own a business, you always want to make the best decisions for your employees, right? In government, the elected officials always want to do their best for the people, right? In corporations, they want to do and be their best for their stake holders and provide quality products and or service, right?

I could go on and on listing ways that we all start out with good intentions, however if you do not fully understand what the impact will be, your intentions will backfire and turn into something that is corrupt, hurtful, harmful, and even dangerous. Your intentions must be grounded in spiritual law and sound wisdom. Every intention must be a conscious choose for the greater good of all. The world is in a state of turmoil and upheaval because of intentions based on greed, and the believe that you and I are separate. Families try to protect themselves or make choices based on

ignorance. This can be very harmful, even though your intentions weren’t meant to be. Our intentions must be based in love. They must be for the greater good. Things are in chaos due to the lack of understanding, consciousness, compassion and believing that nature is outside of us.

True good intentions, are paved with a holistic approach. It is the golden rule. What we do to one, we do to all. Your intentions are powerful. Your impact is even more powerful. Find kindness, strength, love, compassion, beauty, and virtues of grace in your heart to open yourself to goodness.

Good intentions come from the heart, not from the head.

Being of service and keeping yourself humble will be sure fire way to guard against good intentions turning toward hell. Keep the journey onward and upward.

Let Your Heart Lead the Way

September 25, 2019

When was the last time you gave something away that you really needed? Maybe it was money, food, a spot on line or a ticket. Something that you really needed but you saw someone who needed it even more.

We are living in times where so many people are in fear. Sickness, poverty, depression, anxiety and so much suffering around the world, is prevalent. Even though these are the best of times, they are also the worst of times. What can you do to give openly from your heart? Let your heart lead the way.  When you are thinking that you don’t have enough to give, that is exactly the time to give.

The more you give from an open heart, the more will be returned to you. I know, I have experienced this over and over and over again. You will be provided for, guaranteed. But you must trust! Just know that if your intention are pure, a way will be provided. Don’t expect anything in return, just give. Today you are living in the best of times and the worst of times. Which world do you want to live in? It all depends on if you are open to give. Let your heart lead the way, and you will see things turn around for you in a heart beat!

Give A Hand Give A Life

June 5, 2019

“Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much.”

                                                                     Helen Keller

Last August, I got a call from my ex-husband. We communicate once in awhile, usually over something having to do with our grown kids. We have been divorced for over 25 years. It was a friendly parting. In other words we split on good terms. Well, he called me because he needed some help. He was going through some tough financial times and asked if I had any work that he could do in exchange for living quarters for a few months.

Being a master carpenter that he is, I did need a new front porch deck since the old one was rotting. So, I agreed. Now it is June and the deck is finally finished. He did an amazing job.

Why I am posting this is because, we all go through some tough times and need a little help from our friends at times. I’m not suggesting that you invite someone into your home who is abusive or harmful, but we can offer a helping hand to those in need. It goes a long way. I was able to find him some work through a mutual friend and now he is able to get back on his feet.

Don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t easy for me to share my space with him all the time. Sometimes it was damn hard! But I opened my heart to someone in need and I’m so happy I did. If you want more compassion in the world today, you must be the change you want to see. It isn’t always convenient but it is a practice. Where can you open your heart to help someone? We can do so much with a little help from our friends.

Merry Christmas!

December 20, 2018

The Holidays are here and will be gone before you know it. There are many people who go all out and decorate, cook, shop, entertain, go to many parties and do all sorts things for Christmas. Then there are those who don’t. I used to go all out during the Holiday’s but have decided to scale back tremendously!

I want to celebrate more from my heart this year then by all the trimmings. I want to feel the spirit rather than go buy things. But that’s just me. There is no right way or wrong way to enjoy Christmas. This year I am taking  the time to reflect and rejoice the feeling of the season in my heart. There are so many people who are hurting and in pain. I want to send abundant love, peace and serenity to the world.

That is the gift I am giving this year. So however you decide to celebrate Christmas this year, please keep your heart open to give peace and love. This is what the world needs more than anything these days!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, with love!

Navigating Uncertainy With Faith and Courage

March 10, 2015

courage

Courage, defined by the dictionary, means; 1- The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger and overcome fear. 2- Heart; mind, disposition. Heart, as the seat of feeling . I love how the definition describes it as really about coming from the heart.

Courage is not about ego, it’s about feeling your fear and taking that leap of faith anyway. I know in my life, I am faced with challenging situations many times. If I quite my mind, ask God for help, then do the thing that I think I can not do, I am able to gracefully confront my fear and overcome the challenge. I become courageous. Every time I am able to take that step forward, a gain more and confidence in myself, and know that all will be provided for. It is an act of love, and love is all there really is. So, the next time your confronted with a difficult challenge, and aren’t sure which way to turn, you can navigate uncertainty with faith and courage. Trust in The infinite intelligence that is surrounding you always, and allow your heart to open to the answers. Act with courage, and you will always come from love.
