Aspire Higher

November 3, 2020

Aspire to be a giver. To give more love. Give hope. Give strength. Give positivity.

I am a first generation American. Both my parents were Holocaust survivors. They came to this country with little money, very few possessions and no family, but with many aspirations. They did not speak the language, they had no work or resources, however they had hopes for a better life.

This is my moms’ hand. She will 91 in a few days. This is the hand of a woman who was in forced labor as a child, who saw bombs dropping from the sky every day for years. Who didn’t know if she would ever see her family again or find shelter, warmth from the cold winters, have food on her plate or have the luxuries that we so easily take for granted.

My father had to witness seeing his father off on a cattle car, never to be seen or heard of ever again. Fortunately, he was able to get off to London England on the Kinder Transport. He was put into a labor camp to work as a young boy. He was alone without any whereabouts of his mother and had no siblings. It was dark times. They both saw horrible things that were etched into their psyche. Despite all the evil they endured, they had hope, aspirations, strength, and love in their hearts. This is what humanity is about.

We are here to create, to get inspired, to expand our consciousness, to be in awe of the wonders of nature and seek ways to cooperate with one another. We are all connected. The more we truly grasp this realization the more we can start to open our hearts so we can play and work together. WE are living in the greatest evolution in human history. We are witnessing the birth of a new world. As with any birthing process comes labor pains. If we want our freedom, there is a price to pay. Just like a seedling breaking through the top layer of the hard soil, you too must find your inner strength to reach higher, to aspire to seek the light!

What do you want to create? What are your aspirations? What is your vision for a better tomorrow?  There is a new world and a new humanity struggling to be born. We are Awakening to ourselves.

Enjoy this beautiful version of Hallelujah!

The Winds of Change

June 3, 2020

We are certainly living in extraordinary times. You can even call them epoch times. There is a drama being played out in humanity that is changing so quickly that many people are getting caught in the strong currant of hate, fear, violence, anger, frustration and other negative emotions. Watching, listening and engaging in what the media is broadcasting can sweep you in that direction pretty easily. I choose not to do this. Oh yes, I can’t help getting the coverage of what’s going on and have watched the video of the horrible and disturbing act that killed George Floyd. I was deeply saddened by this act.

Just when the world was showing signs of hope and glimmers of healing from the pandemic an even more powerful and sinister virus has gripped us. The one of hate and prejudice. This virus can destroy not only your body but your soul. It will eat you up and destroy everything in its path. I can understand the pain and suffering that this unjust act has surfaced. I can understand the rage it has brought up. We all have darkness inside us. We all have a shadow. We just don’t like to become acquainted with our most deep and dark inner most fears. We will do anything to push them away.  But there is no more running, there is no more hiding and there is no more distracting ourselves. We must become intimate with our fears, insecurities and vulnerabilities.

It is here that you will find your light. It is going through the dark night of the soul you will emerge the hero of your own story. When you’re able to transmute your anger into compassion, you will know that you’re out of the woods. When this happens you will discover there is another story unfolding that you might miss if you get distracted from the winds of change. This story is much more fascinating, glorious and beautiful. It’s the story of now!  That’s right, the one right in front of you. There’s so much going on here. Can we keep our focus on this loving presence? Distracting is addictive behavior. It tempts you, it induces you, entices you, it coaxes you, it woos you, and convinces you to look away from the truth. Why not put your attention and energy on opening your hearts. Be the change you want to see in the world. No need to feed the fire, it’s been burning since the worlds been turning.

Peace out!
