In Africa there is a concept known as ‘ubuntu’ – the profound sense that we are human only through the humanity of others; that if we are to accomplish anything in this world it will in equal measure be due to the work and achievement of others.
“One day, a western anthropologist went to Africa to study the social behavior of an indigenous tribe. He proposed a game to the children and they willingly agreed to be part of it. He put a basket filled with fruits underneath a tree and told the children that whoever would reach the basket first would win the whole basket and could eat the fruits all by him- or herself.
He lined them all up and raised his hand to give the start signal. Ready. Set. Go!
The children took each other’s hands and started running together. They all reached the basket at the same time. Then they sat down in a big circle and enjoyed the fruits together, laughing and smiling all the time.
The anthropologist could not believe what he saw and he asked them why they had waited for each other as one could have taken the whole basket all for him- or herself.
The children shook their heads and replied, “Ubuntu, how can one of us be happy if all the others are sad?”
What if we all lived our lives with this in mind? What if you opened your heart and mind to embracing the human in humanity? Our world will change when we realize that we are all a part of each other. We live in a holographic universe. There is no separation between you and I.
Call to action: Do one thing today that benefits someone else. If you could do one thing that uplifts another person, not only will you feel so good, you will be paying an act of kindness forward…….. Spread the love!

Actually do look up, however with protective glasses! Were you able to witness the solar eclipse on August 21st?
What a fabulous time to be alive! With all that is going on in the world that divides us, this brings us all together. With all the turmoil, tension, stress and distraction, the commonality of our humanity unites us. We are reminded of how vulnerable, precious and fragile we really are. We get a chance to look up in awe and wonder. A day to get our heads out from under our iphones to gaze up at the stars.
It connects us to our primal ancestry and the future evolution of mankind. Years ago, we were frightened when this phenomena occurred. We thought all kinds of superstitious things were causing it. We didn’t have the awareness that we do now. Through understanding we now know that this rare event is mathematically calculated through the rotation of the earth and the moon. We can predict eclipses to a fraction of a second! The moon is 400 times smaller then the sun and 400 times the distance to the sun. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
When we look up with gratitude and awe at the order of the universe we connect to the infinite possibilities that is empowering our lives.
Reach for the stars in your life. Look up, wonder, question and explore. If you only land on the moon be grateful for the quest! Here’s to your extraordinary life!

As my physical body moves with the energy of the lunar body, I feel closer to the sun than ever before.
This day in time and space is reflecting back to me where I have journeyed and how I can manifest my future to align with my highest intentions.
As another earth year has travelled around the infinite vastness of our universe enlightened souls are on the front line riding the wave of expansion. We are here to awaken the ones who are still fast asleep to their true essence.
The winter solstice is a time of high vibration. It is an opening to the portal of source energy. It is a spiral stairway of evolution birthing a new divine destiny.
This vortex is open for anyone who chooses to connect with pure consciousness. Once inside this field you become one with all that is and all that ever was. You release the past to create a new you and a new earth. One of love, peace and joy.
Now is the time to manifest a miracle on our earth. Light workers around the planet are collectively uniting with the being of ascended source energy to co-create a glorious and magnificent new earth.
Humanity is experiencing a renaissance of divine love. Breath in this truth and feel the presence of these beautiful patterns of love emerging within your soul.
The sacred feminine energy is guiding all of us to open our hearts to inspire higher.
As I shift my consciousness and align with source energy tonight, I ask all the entities of my highest good to guide me to fulfill my sacred contract that I agreed to before I choose to have this human experience.
February 3, 2015
Well it’s February 3rd, and the temperatures are in the single digits outside. Ice and snow are covering just about everything here on Long Island. It’s difficult to walk and to do any outside activity except shovel, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to warm up anytime soon. Most of all activities that took place yesterday evening were cancelled due to the weather. Brrrrrrr!!!!
Indoors, it’s warm and cozy. I have heated floors, a beautiful new kitchen, and all the comforts of a modern home. However, I have three little dogs, three cats, and a bird. Yes, I love animals. What I don’t love, is cleaning up after them! Since its been so frigid outside, the cats don’ t want to go out and the dogs can’t walk because it hurts their paws. So I have wee wee pads all over and litter boxes that need to be cleaned a few times a day. They are also having accidents in different places. I am a neat freak, and this is freaking me out! I get completely unhinged when I think about it. Then, I remembered Victor Frankls’ book, Mans Search for Meaning. What a powerful story he shares with humanity. The main message in the book is “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms, to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
Wow, that put things for me, in perspective real fast. Yes, I’m not over joyed about cleaning up after my animals, but, I can choose to see it in a different way. I can choose to appreciate my pets, be grateful for my home, be thankful that I am able to care for them, and focus on what is good rather than whats not. So, what’s on your mind? What are you focusing on? If it’s not to your liking, change your thoughts. It’s freedom that noone can ever take away from you!
