Discipline is being able to force yourself to do something in spite of how you feel over and over and over until it becomes a habit.
The word discipline comes from the Latin word discipulus meaning “student”. Or you can say to be a learner. In other words having self discipline in being a good student who wants to learn. It is a high level of awareness to give yourself a command and follow through with it. If you want to be a great musician, you have to practice playing your instrument every day for hours. If you want to be a great athlete you have to train your mind and body every day, in spite of how tired or achy you feel. This goes for anything you desire to master.
This year my word that I am giving my attention to is FOCUS. I will discipline myself to focus on the things I desire to manifest into my life in a relaxed state of mind. I say relaxed because if I try to force myself to do this in a tense way, I am just sabotaging my efforts. What is it that you really want to create in your life for 2020? With discipline, you can make it happen. Hire a coach, get an accountability partner and practice, practice practice!
Be a good learner, be disciplined!

Let’s face it, life can be darn hard at times. It can knock you down, turn you inside out and twist you around. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t achieved greatness without going through some sort of adversity.
The difference between those that succeeded and those that didn’t is the faith and courage to get back up and go at it again. Also, having someone in your corner. someone who sees your goodness and sees something that you can’t or don’t believe in yet. There were times that I wanted to give up on myself but something inside me kept me going. You can call it source energy, God, spirit, consciousness or infinite intelligence, but it’s real and it always available to tap into.
If you’re going through some tough times, you can grow through it. To reach mastery in anything, or to overcome anything ask your heart for guidance and then give it your all. Grow through it! Nothing happens by accident. Learn from adversity and grow. You’ll amaze yourself who you can become!

What is the difference between highly successful people who really accomplish so much in life and others that don’t? It is accountability! People who take action on the things they desire take daily, progressive action. I know in my own life that there are times when I just don’t feel like doing something however when I am accountable and know that that action will result in positive results, it is much more likely to get done. Accountability is the missing link between desire and mastery. It takes discipline to commit to something you say you are going.
If you have a coach to inspire and motivate you to take that action, you will accomplish your goals. It is that simple! The difference between a successful day and a day of failure is accountability. You must take responsibility and be persistent on doing the things you say you want to have, be or do.
So, start today, don’t delay!
