Going Down the Rabbit Hole

October 9, 2019

“If you don’t know where your going, you’ll wind up some where else.”

Yogi Berra

What is it that you really want? When I was a teenager, I didn’t have a purpose or direction in life. I didn’t have a focus that kept my attention. My father got sick when I was about 14 years old and passed over when I turned 17. He lived with cancer for a few years which was a very difficult time for my family. I completely rebelled and lost sight of anything and everything that I could have wanted for myself. I had no aspirations or goals. I was just drifting.

I was in  survival mode. As time passed and our family healed from our loss, I was able to begin looking at my future with new eyes. I started focusing on what I wanted in life and applied my gifts and talents to horticulture. I opened a plant business which I truly loved. My attention on learning everything I could about plants grew and grew (and so did my plants). As I evolved so did my passion to learn about nature, health, herbs and about people. This took me to the field I am in today, coaching. I love it!

You see, when you’re not sure where you want to go, any road will take you there. When you have clarity, you can navigate a path that will bring so much joy, satisfaction and happiness into your life. Having a purpose and sticking with it, is the answer to so many of your life’s questions. So, ask yourself, what do you really want? What are you willing to devote your life too? There is something inside of you that no one else can do just like you! If you want to go down the rabbit hole, make sure it is with a purpose, otherwise any road will take you to no where.

Welcome to the Rat Race

September 12, 2019

“Some people die at 25 and aren’t buried until 75”

Benjamin Franklin

Do you wake up in the morning saying “Good God Morning” or “Good Morning GOD”?

Same exact words, completely different energy!

Do you ever wake up with a pit in your stomach, shuffle off to the bathroom to take a shower, feeling tired and down? You don’t want to go to work, and are already complaining about your job.  You get dressed only to find your clothes are way too tight and don’t fit and feel right on. You say some negative things in your head about your body, wanting to lose weight.   Then you go into the kitchen to make yourself some breakfast while absorbing all the negativity from the newspaper you are reading, and you wonder how you got that agita (indigestion).  You then head on out to work and complain about the traffic or mass transit being late and overcrowded. All these things are just building and building up inside of you.

Now you’re at work and you hear other people complaining about their kids, their wife, husband, mother in-law or who ever…

You look at your phone messages and notice that your phone bill is overdue which stirs up all kinds of anxiety inside you.  This sends you on a spiral of negative thoughts like, there never seems to be enough money at the end of the month. Why can’t I keep track of my money and my bills? Why can’t I ever get a break?

Finally, you get home from work, still feeling tired and don’t have the energy to cook something healthy, so you order a pizza, even though you know you’re going to regret it later. The phone rings and it’s from a friend who starts talking about the same problems that he talks about every day. Before you know it, you’ve spend over an hour listening to his kvetching ( the Yiddish word for complaining) .

By now it is late and you get ready for bed. You put on the TV to watch the news and fall asleep with all the negative news blaring into your subconscious mind, reinforcing the doom and gloom.

This goes on day after day, week after week, month after month.  Before you know it, years have gone by. Your body has gotten more out of shape. You have all sorts of aches and pains, and you’re stuck in the same job complaining about the same things!

Welcome to the rat race! This is no way to live! Stop, get off and start doing what makes you happy.  This is your life we are talking about. live it fully! Through understanding some laws of nature you can jump off the wheel and discover yourself!

2020 is quickly approaching. It is the year of clarity and vision (20/20 vision). It will be the best decision you ever made.

What Do You Resonate With?

August 14, 2019

“I choose things by how they resonate in my heart.”

Rita Coolidge

Resonance is an interesting phenomena. It is an invisible energy that gets transferred from one object to another through vibration and frequency. I’m sure you’ve all heard of an opera singer being able to shatter a crystal glass when she is able to sing  a pitch that resonates on the same frequency as the glass. Or tuning forks that that get activated when one is stroked .

The earth has a resonance as well as everything else in the universe. Your thoughts have resonance too. What you think and feel are like invisible currents vibrating out from you. Everything is connected and what you are projecting has an effect on others. When you have people that get together with the same purpose, powerful shifts can occur. This energy can be used for good intentions or ill intentions.

Let’s resonate love, peace, compassion, creativity and positive things rather than destructive ones which do damage.  You have the power. Collectively we can change the world and create heaven on earth. Let’s do that!

Watch this short video and see how a bridge designed to withstand winds up to 120 miles per hour collapsed from only 40 miles per do to resonance.

Learn To Earn

3 Tips to Learning

1. Know why you are learning.

Your brain always needs a motive to learn something before it will actually do it. Learning actually has so many possible benefits that everyone should make it a top priority. You can learn how to be successful, you can learn from the mistakes of others, you can learn new useful skills, and you can learn how to live a healthier lifestyle. Don’t just take my word for it, many great men and women throughout history endorsed learning.

Albert Einstein said “Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death.”

Henry Ford said “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.”

Earl Nightingale said “The minute a man stops learning, our world will begin to pass him by. He will be left a lonely and disconsolate figure in its wake.”

Abraham Lincoln said “All I have learned, I learned from books.”

John Adams said “I read my eyes out and can’t read half enough…the more one reads the more one sees we have to read”.                                                                                                                                         Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Winston Churchill, Bruce Lee, Mahatma Gandhi, Leonardo da Vinci, Confucius, Socrates, and more.  All of these people had something positive to say about learning. Learning is how you move up in life, and expand your awareness to new ideas.

  1. Form a habit of learning.

This is crucial. True life-long learners know they have a lot to learn, and that the more time spent learning the better. They cut down on distractions like television, radio, video games, and social media to free up more time for learning. They listen to audio books during commute. They read everyday. You don’t have to go to the extreme with this.

However imagine if you just made a habit of spending an hour a day reading. Over the course of a year that would add up to 365 hours spent reading! Don’t fall into the pessimistic trap of thinking you have to give up your life or spend hours every day reading for it to have any effect. Just make small changes, slightly adjust your habits in favor of learning, and watch how your life will start to change with all the new knowledge being poured into your brain.

As Mahatma Gandhi put it “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

3. Surround yourself with like minded people who support you.

Meet up with people who are experts in your topic of study. Go to classes, seminars, courses, live events, and network with the people there. Keep friends around who understand and see the benefit of life-long learning. Tell your friends and family what you plan to learn and get them to run accountability checks on you.

Life-long learners learn from a multitude of sources, especially when they really want to master a subject. Books, audio books, courses, seminars, other people, and mentors. These are all fair game for self-education and a life-long learner. Expect success and be confident that you will learn whatever it is you are trying to learn as this will make it easier for you to learn it! All of this will motivate you to stay focused on your goals and learn. Learning truly is a lifestyle.

Learning should be fun! If you want to explore how I can teach you to be a better learner to be a better earner, let’s talk. Always a free consultation.

Stick With It

September 8, 2015

stick with itDo you ever feel like giving up? Does it feel like things are just too hard and your not getting the results you want? You might have had set backs, everyone does.  I know I have had my fair share of them. However, you must stick with it, if you want to actualize your vision. Keep trying another approach until you succeed. If there is something you truly desire, keep going until it forms into a habit that you just have to do. I know so many people who say they want to shed pounds and get healthy, or start a business, write a book, or be in a loving relationship. They are all motivated at first and begin taking some sort of action toward it, but their motivation soon sizzles. They loose interest and then become discouraged. Stick with it! Never give up! It might appear like your not getting anywhere, however if you are putting your attention, intention, releasing all tension, and taking action toward your desire, then there is movement toward the desired outcome. Never give and stick with it.
