Finding A Conclusion to My Confusion

Who really are you? What are your beliefs about yourself? We are the person we believe ourselves to be. Henry Ford said,” If you think you can’t do something you’re right, If you think you can, you’re right too.”

Maxwell Maltz was a renowned plastic surgeon back in the 1930’s and 1940’s.  He saw that after removing scars and preforming other procedures on peoples faces to improve their appearance, they still didn’t feel any better about themselves.  He found this remarkable and later went on to write a book Psycho-Cybernetics, were he introduced his idea that a person must have an accurate and positive view of themselves before setting goals; otherwise they will get stuck in a continuing pattern of limiting beliefs.

If ones self image is unhealthy or faulty, everything he or she does will end up in failure. A healthy self image is the key to your success.

The good news is you can change your self image through awareness, study, understanding and diligently applying the principles to become someone new. If you want a new personal reality, you need to create a new personality.

The Art of Thinking

Thoughts are fleeting, they come and go. We think of quite a lot of them through out the course of the day. But is there intelligence behind them? Thoughts like; What am I going to eat for dinner,  I need to bring my jacket to the cleaners or any of these kind of thoughts are not true thinking. They are just memorized behavioral patterns. To think clearly is like lifting weights. At first you begin with solving puzzles or maybe creating something small but new, then you can go to the next level with heavier weights, and move into a more focused and sustained level of thinking. You become consciously aware of your thoughts and stop reacted to the stimuli around you and respond with a sense of purpose. Thoughts can be likened to currency of energy. Where are you investing your time and energy? If your not thinking clearly, you are losing energy and just like money you will become bankrupt if you spend them on things that are not giving you a good return. So if you desire to think clearly and have more energy, be careful of the thoughts you think. If you want compounded interest, I suggest you invest in a coach to guide you in the right direction.  All the rest will fall into place.


Through the Looking Glass

through the looking glassWhat triggers your feelings? Do you believe that it is the outside world that makes you feel a certain way? Do you react to what people say, do, or how they behave?   Your feelings are an indicator of who you really are. Your feelings than get projected into an emotion. Emotions are the labels we give to our feelings. Say that you feel sad, well, the sadness is the emotion and the feeling could be discomfort in your body. All our feelings are cellular memories that we are bringing up over and over again. It is as if we are really living in the past.  What we may act like in our outer world could be totally different than what we are truly feeling. It is who I want you to think I am. This is our facade.  This gap creates ambiguity within the body, causing stress. What if you could go  through a looking glass and see yourself for who you really are. Beyond the feelings and labels we have come to memorize as us? You can learn to liberate yourself from feelings that keep you a prisoner in your body. The looking glass is meditation. It is going beyond the illusion of time, space, personality, and form. When you break the patterns that keep you addicted to the same feelings over and over, causing the same emotions to spring up, you will become a new person. You are no longer attached to the limiting feeling and you have closed the gap between you and you. You will have traveled through the looking  glass and reflecting back a new you!


Organized Chaos

organized chaosI am living in organized chaos. I recently moved into a new home that is still being renovated. Actually it isn’t a new home, it is a hundred and one year old home. Lots of work needed to be done to get it up to date. We basically gutted the home to redo the electrical, plumbing, heating and other such infrastructure work.It was organized chaos. Now, I am living out of boxes until I can get more organized. Every day progress is being made to bring the house to completion. Chaos, always precedes order. Look at nature, it might look chaotic if you walk through a forest. However, if you look closely it is in perfect divine order.Sometimes it seems like our life becomes unmanageable but if you center yourself and stay calm, order will come. A knitted sweater is a chaotic mess on one side and the other side  is in a beautiful pattern. So get messy! As long as you stay focused on what it is your desire, chaos will be there along side the organization. It is always a journey from chaos to organization. Onward and upward!!
