Shed It and Forget It

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

My most peaceful time of the day are early mornings. I like to get up before dawn. There is a silent magic in the air and I feel closer to source energy when things are quiet and still. I meditate, journal, pray and stretch my body to release any stiffness from sleep. Once the day gets going, boy it is full throttle. Clients, appointments, calls, setting up programs, talks, meetings, shows and on and on…..

I have learned over the years that the more I cling to the things I want to happen, in my time, I am in for a rude awakening. It only causes me to feel horrible. So my mantra for the New Year is Shed It and Forget It. Surrender, let go, release, shake it off and give it up. The more I do this the lighter I feel. The pressure is off. I take full responsibility to do what I set out to do with love, and my highest intention and leave the rest up to Source.

If you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, confused, angry, guilty, shameful, jealous, resentful, stressed, anxiety, depressed, hurt or any negative emotion, you can begin to let go. There is support for you to do this. Please reach out. Choose to be happy, joyful, abundant, playful, compassionate, hopeful, creative, grateful and all the good emotions that will expand your life in a positive way. One day we will have to let go of it all. We can’t take it with us, so why not shed it now?

Here we are. Another year around the sun. I know for me the time has seemed to go super fast. It is like a blink of an eye. If you aren’t conscious of where, how and with whom you choose to spend our time, it will drift by without your full attention. That is why it is so important to intentionally create what it is you want in our life.

This is a great time to write down what you want to create for the next year. Why not write down 100 aspirations?  That may seem like a lot, but once your creative juices start to flow, you will be surprised as to how many more things you can think of that you want to be, do or have. It is a great exercise to stay focused on the positive too!

So, find a nice quite spot where you have no distractions, get some paper, pencils, colored pencils or whatever you feel that will stir up your imagination and design your future.

 If you want 2019 to be different for you, than you must do something different. Set your mind free, and explore the infinite possibilities that are just waiting for you. Now is your time, but only if you take the time to make it yours!


Something Big is Coming!

something-bigI don’t know anyone who is not going through some sort of challenge. I am a solo entrepreneur, and there are so many things you have to take care of in order for your business to flourish. Marketing, sales, social media management, book keeping, phone calls, emails, networking, clients, and the list goes on……

Then you have your personal life and home to manage as well. If you have anyone in your family who is struggling with a health issue or facing a dilemma like me, is  taking care of an aging parent, it can feel daunting.

Some days there are so many things to take care of that the day turns into night and I haven’t had a chance to take a break. However, I know when I start to feel like it’s about to unravel, I say to myself, something BIG is Coming! Something so good that my whole world is going to change for the better!

So if you are feeling overwhelmed and being pulled in every which way, know that something BIG is coming. Just know that all the action you are taking to create something is going to come back! Massive concentrated action will produce something BIG! Stay positive!

Oh No! Not Again!

negative-thoughtsOne negative thought can send your mind on a downward spiral which will create all kinds of consequences to happen. They might be little at first but if you allow those negative thoughts to continue they build into something much larger and harder to get rid of. They like to latch on like a virus and attach and attack your thoughts so that it takes a tremendous amount of strength to combat those beasts.

Any time a negative thought creeps into my mind, I say cancel/clear and replace it with a positive thought. If it is a fearful thought that is gripping your emotions, allow it surface and invite it in to your mind. Ask yourself what is it about this fear that is keeping you locked into a negative vibration.

There are so many people that are dealing with some real life crisis. Illnesses, financial woes, loss of loved ones or anything that can bring negativity to the surface, can disrupt your peace of mind.

There are times that we are challenged to stay positive. Through pray, meditation and constructive thinking, we can overcome any obstacle. We may feel sad, hurt and pain at times, however we will prevail if we remember that this to shall pass.

There is a spiritual answer if we seek the highest good. Stay connected to the good!

What Do You Really Put Value On?

core valuesWhat are your core values in life? As a life coach, I empower people to understand how important it is to live by their values. When you are absolutely clear on what you value, it is easy to make decisions based on your beliefs.  How do you know what you value most? Well,look at the actions you take on a daily basis. What does your life look like? Your real core values will be expressed in what you do, under stress. That’s when the real you, appears. My core values are, integrity, spirituality,family, health and then career, in that order. If someone else has the same core values, however they put career first, health, family, spiritual life, and integrity, their life will look totally different. It is so important to really grasp this knowledge. If your life is a mess, go look at your values, and in what order you place them. It will explain why it isn’t working for you. So, if you want a life that is empowered, happy, and fulfilling, examine your core values, and put them in order. By rearranging and living by  your highest core value first, will make all the difference. For me, it is “Do the right thing.” Integrity is a must in my life, I hope it is for you too!


People Who Inspire

I just love being around people who inspire me. People who are upbeat, positive, and responsible. People who have been through adversity, however choose to overcome their challenges. Last night, I attended my toastmasters meeting and the members are people who inspire. One woman, gave her icebreaker speech that was so touching, personal, and inspirational, that you felt like you were right there, in her story. Wow. it was so good. That’s how we connect through the heart with compassion.

Another gentleman, gave an advance speech about, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He gave us all hand-outs on “20 Things Boys Can Do to Become Men”, by Kareem Abdul Jabbar.  I learned so much about this great sports figure and man that it inspired me to want to be a better person. That’s what people who inspire, do.  So, who are you associating with? Do you feel good around them or are they draining you of your vital life giving energy. See, you become who you associate with. I want to be a better person. When I am around people who are uplifting, positive, and responsible, I’m uplifted. Being around people who are being reactive, and playing the victim, is not healthy. The great thing is you can choose who you want to be around. I choose to inspire others so I hang with those same people. Choose wisely!

Building Up Your Mental Muscles

We all know the importance of taking care of our bodies, or at least I hope we do. Having a good workout to build up our muscles and keep strong to maintain a healthy body is so important to stay healthy. Stretching and keeping limber is also vital for our bodies health. However if you are not working out your mental muscles, you probably have weak physical ones too. It all starts with a mind that is disciplined. Building up your mental muscles is the only way you will achieve your goals. There are six mental muscles. They can be developed through practice, just like  good body work out. Hiring a life coach is like a personal trainer for your mind. Some times you need a jump-start to motivate you.
