It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the tension that people are feeling around the world. Just turn on the TV, radio, internet or any devise and you will be hooked into a world that seems to have gone mad! I get phone calls from distressed people almost daily. We all want relief from our depression, anxiety, stress, and other maladies that are causing us to feel bad. Too many people think that a pill will cure their ill, but in many cases this is causing more of a problem. You just want these yucky feeling to go away. I know, I’ve been there. I know what depression, anxiety and stress feel like. It’s a state of mind that is trapping you into patterns of familiarity. To change requires a willingness to surrender to the familiar and venture into the unknown territory of what could be. It is the willingness to create new patterns of hope, possibilities and expansion.
If you can wonder, imagine and aspire to something greater than the darkness that seems to loom over you, you can then begin to get an inkling of what enlightenment can feel like. After all, enlightenment is a only state of being. The state of depression is dark and dense. Enlightenment is allowing the light to shine into and through you. But, it only comes when you are willing to do the work. You’ve got to put in the time and effort! Change, is possibilities. Before enlightenment, you chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment you chop wood and carry water.
