Persistence is the key ingredient in achieving anything you desire from life. It is holding to a course of continued action, belief, and purpose without giving in or giving up. Napoleon Hill wrote in his book Think and Grow Rich, “There may be no heroic connotation to the word persistence, but the quality is to a person’s character what carbon is to steel.” Persistence is a habit that will begin to cultivate, when you realize your life’s purpose, have a strong desire, and strengthen your will. Set goals for yourself and follow through on them.
Nothing worthwhile in life comes without struggles to overcome. There are no cheap goods in the heavenly market, and everything worth having is expensive. Surround yourself with people who will lift you up, and are pursuing their own dreams, have faith and take action every day toward your dream. The opposite of persistence is procrastination, this is truly an enemy. It will keep you stuck, weak and create all kinds of excuses why you can not accomplish something. Face yourself honestly and openly, challenge yourself, to overcome this habit. Believe in yourself and know that you can not fail if you persist, and move in the direction of your dream. For every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.
The philosopher Henry David Thoreau quoted “If you advance confidently in the direction of your dream, and live the life you can image, you will meet with success, unexpected in common hours.” Go live your dream.

Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous new year by believing. Believe in yourself. And believe that there is a loving Source – a Sower of Dreams – just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true.

Wow, what a marvelous year it has been for me! I hope everyone was able to capture the moments of your life with joy and celebration. I have been blessed to have shared the stage with some of the best speakers in the world. Bob Proctor, Les Brown, Michael Beckwith, Jack Canfield, Mary Morrissey, just to name a few. I traveled abroad and I just returned from a trip to Alaska, yes, you heard me correct, Alaska. So many people asked me why I was heading to Alaska in the winter and my reply was why not? It was such a magical trip. Life should be a glorious adventure. If you have an opportunity to go somewhere, and do something, take it! Experience all life has to offer. Don’t get me wrong, I had some major challenges as well. I shared some trying times with friends and family members who are going through some life threatening illness and other changes that have tested their faith. I don’t think there is anyone who is not going through some sort of life change. The key is having the support and resources to navigate through them.
What is it that you want for your life for 2017? Do you want to travel to exotic lands, or perhaps you want to give your time to a charitable cause? Maybe you dream of starting your own business. Do you have health goals? Maybe this is the year you want to meet that special someone. Why not invest New Years day on thinking of the person you want to become. Write down everything you would like to manifest and see it all coming to fruition. Don’t waste another year just dreaming about it, take some action to create it!
Les Brown said, most people die at age 25 and don’t get buried until they are 65.
If you want to begin your New Year with a BIG impact, join me in an eight week Master Mind class based on the book Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill starting January 3rd, in the comfort of your own home.
Wishing you and your family a glorious Holiday and the very best for the New Year,
